Sr Tax Managers

(Must Have Active CPA)

Salary Range: $130K- $180K Base + Bonus & Benefits

Overview
We are seeking experienced and detail-oriented Senior Tax Managers to lead our tax department and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in tax strategies, accounting principles, and regulatory reporting, with a solid knowledge in trust & estate planning, corporate accounting, and financial analysis. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic team, providing strategic tax guidance and overseeing complex tax projects across diverse sectors including non-profit organizations, private equity, and financial services.

Responsibilities

Lead and oversee all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting for the organization.
Manage complex tax projects including estate planning, mergers & acquisitions, and LIHTC transactions.
Ensure adherence to GAAP, SOX compliance, and securities law regulations.
Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and regulatory reports utilizing various accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other financial software tools.
Conduct detailed analysis of financial data including account reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and balance sheet reconciliation.
Provide expert guidance on tax strategies related to securities law, private equity investments, and asset management.
Coordinate with external auditors during auditing processes and ensure accurate financial report interpretation.
Develop internal controls related to financial reporting processes including payroll, accounts payable, and regulatory compliance.
Support the development of budgets and financial planning initiatives aligned with organizational goals.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws affecting wills, trusts & estate law, non-profit accounting, and other relevant areas to optimize tax efficiency.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification must have.
Trust & Estate, HNW, Staff Mentorship, and/or Business Development PREFERRED
Extensive experience in public accounting or corporate tax management with a focus on tax experience across various industries including non-profit organizations and private equity.
Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX compliance standards, securities law, and regulatory reporting requirements.
Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero; experience with financial software for analysis and reporting is essential.
Demonstrated expertise in estate planning, mergers & acquisitions, financial statement preparation & interpretation.
Knowledge of LIHTC programs and asset management is a plus.
Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data accurately.
Strong communication skills for tax financial report writing and analysis presentation.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
