Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and organized Dispatcher to join our logistics team! In this vital role, you will coordinate the movement of freight and transportation assets, ensuring timely deliveries and efficient routing. Duties

Manage incoming transportation requests via multi-line phone systems, ensuring prompt and professional communication with brokers, drivers, and plants.
Utilize transportation management systems such as Samsara and our TMS to schedule, track, and optimize freight movements.
Coordinate dispatching activities by assigning shipments to appropriate drivers, considering factors like GPS data, GIS mapping, and fleet availability.
Monitor real-time GPS tracking to oversee fleet operations, making adjustments as needed for delays or route changes.
Maintain accurate data entry of shipping & receiving logs, freight details, and dispatch records using Samara and other logistics software platforms.
Communicate effectively with drivers, plants, and brokers to ensure seamless shipping & receiving processes.
Conduct analysis of transportation data to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements in supply chain operations.

Requirements

Proven experience with transportation planning, dispatching, or logistics coordination in a fast-paced environment.
Strong familiarity with transportation management systems such as Samsara or Oracle Transportation Management or similar platforms.
Knowledge of GPS technology, GIS mapping tools, and fleet management systems for route optimization and tracking.
Excellent communication skills with phone call management and professional phone etiquette.
Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities using multi-line phone systems and data entry tools into our TMS.
Ability to analyze transportation data effectively to support decision-making processes.
Technical proficiency in typing and data entry tasks related to freight shipping & receiving operations.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
