Director of Security | Florida, United States | Onsite

A rapidly growing advanced technology company in Florida are developing next-generation energy systems is seeking a Director of Security to build and lead its enterprise security program.

This is a rare opportunity to establish a security function from the ground up, protecting highly sensitive technology, intellectual property, facilities, and personnel while supporting a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop and execute the company's overall security strategy.
Protect proprietary technology, confidential information, and critical assets.
Establish physical security, access control, visitor management, and personnel security programs.
Partner with engineering, operations, IT, and executive leadership to integrate security into day-to-day operations.
Lead security risk assessments, incident response activities, and investigations when necessary.
Build scalable security processes that support innovation and business growth.
Prepare the organization for future regulatory and compliance requirements associated with licensed nuclear operations.

Experience Required:

10+ years of experience leading security programs within aerospace, defense, nuclear, semiconductor, advanced manufacturing, or other IP-intensive industries.
Experience protecting sensitive technologies, trade secrets, and business-critical information.
Strong understanding of physical security, information protection, and enterprise risk management.
Ability to balance robust security practices with operational efficiency and speed.
Prior experience building or scaling a security function in a high-growth environment is highly desirable.
