We are searching for a senior cybersecurity leader to take ownership of a global security program inside a complex, highly regulated manufacturing environment.

This is not a “keep the lights on” CISO role.

The mandate is to strengthen cyber risk and resilience while helping Security become a more practical, trusted partner to the business -- someone who can challenge when necessary, but also help the organization find a responsible path to yes.

What You’ll Own

Global cybersecurity strategy, operating model and risk governance
Executive communication of material cyber risk, priorities and investment decisions
Manufacturing and OT cybersecurity
Cyber incident leadership, resilience and recovery
Security integration into cloud, digital, data and transformation initiatives
Third-party and supply-chain cyber risk
Security teams, strategic partners, MSSPs and investment priorities
A more business-enabling, risk-based security culture

What We’re Looking For

Senior cybersecurity leadership experience in a complex enterprise environment
Meaningful manufacturing / OT security ownership
Experience in a highly regulated environment
Strong executive risk communication and business-partnering skills
Experience managing through a significant cyber incident strongly preferred
Track record of building or transforming security programs, teams and operating models
Ability to balance risk, speed, continuity and business priorities

Direct medical-device experience is preferred, but leaders from other highly regulated manufacturing, life sciences, healthcare, pharmaceutical or similarly complex environments will be considered.

Additional Strengths

Experience in product security, connected devices, cloud security, application security, AI governance, identity, third-party risk or global privacy environments is valuable, but we are not looking for one person to be the deepest practitioner in every domain.

Location: Greater Chicago Area – Northern Suburbs
Onsite: 3–4 days per week
Engagement: 6–9 month contract
